Most posts should be posted on both, so theres no need to check both. Just in case anyone likes the layout of wordpress more than blogger.

Hello

Hello, so far i’ve not really done much in the way of blogging, but i’m beginning to see the internet as more of a tool now - instead of just a place to play games - so i’ve decided that i’m going to start trying to write in my blog on a regular basis. I don’t have a clue what ‘ll be talking about, but hopefully i’ll be talking about something.

New Zealand

Well, what can i say, they are undoubtably the best international rugby union team in the world at present. They look impossible to beat, noone even comes close to matching them, they have some of the best players in the world, players who can do outstanding things individually, players who most defininitely shine when playing with other great players.

They have Dan Carter, possibly the best back in the world, probably the best number 10 anyway. He controls the game beautifully, has an amazing boot, great vision and flair to spare. He possesses a dynamic array of physical and mental skills, including great speed, deceptive strength and a dangerous side-step. Carter is a reliable goal-kicker, an astute tactician and a calm backline general.

When Carter isn’t throwing himself at opposition defences he is a keen stamp collector.

They also have one of, if not the greatest forward of our time Richie McCaw, he plays openside flanker, McCaw has the size and strength to be a punishing defender, the cool head and quick hands required to master the breakdown area, and the speed and handling skills to play a traditional tear-away’s linking role to superb effect. A tireless worker who reads the game well, he was named as All Blacks captain for the first time for the Test against Wales in 2004 at just 23-years-old.

The explosive, some would say flamboyant, Ma’a Nonu has built a reputation as one of the toughest marks in world rugby, able to break the line, off-load the ball and set up or score scintillating tries. He is a powerful runner and has carved himself a niche as a huge impact player for the All Blacks coaching staff.

Nimble and quick but deceptively strong, Joe Rokocoko has set the standard for finishing, and creating, exhilarating tries. While blessed with scintillating pace, Rokocoko always seems to have time to find, or create, space where it’s needed.

So with players like McCaw winning and retaining ball, Carter reading the game and spotting gaps in defences then starting a move, centres such as Nonu finding and creating space and somebody like Rokocoko seizing the opportunities and finishing the whole thing with beautiful tries, no wonder the team seem unbeatable.

The scary thing is, as i see it, the All Blacks only seem to be working at 75% of what they could do, they never seem to get out of third gear, and yet they can still rip other good teams to shreds. They are a great team to watch at the moment, with so much flair and creativity, but i can’t wait for some side to push the all blacks and make them work 100% and show us what they really have, for then, we will surely be watching the best ever team to step onto a rugby field.

I believe that New zealand are definitely going to win the world cup, bar a plague of locusts or the whole squad breaking their legs in a freak accident.

So with that in mind, all we can do is sit back grab a pint of guinness and watch the best team in the world show us how rugby should be played while contemplating whos going to come second. I know I will be.
